Thank Goodness I still Love to Fly!

I just returned from San Diego... after a Wonderful, Action Packed, Creative 8 days with Cam & Tash and Grand Dog Jack...We Cooked, Antiqued, Built (2) two tables, one out of a French door & porch posts, the other out of an old Sewing machine table base, Built (2) Adirondack Chairs that we dry brushed a bright yellow, Put in a 12' x12' Veggie Garden, attempted to thread Tasha's Serger, and watched The Food Network alot...
Cameron & Tasha Love to cook! and instead of going out they have a date night of "Chopped"...
They each stop at the market on their way home, buy 4 mystery, random ingredients and then they each have 30 minutes to prepare & present their dishes... They are so cute and have so much fun together! Their new house is Darling! Their Backyard is "Awesome & Amazing" (The 2 most over used words! I had too! I was in California after all!) It really is huge...We are so very Happy for them! On Tuesday I boarded a plane at 10:30pm Cali time after crying all the way through security like a blubbering idiot...I didn't cry in front of the kids, trying to be strong and then totally lost it in line to get pulled over and asked if I'm alright?!? Oh how pretty! We landed in Washington DC at 6am & then boarded a dinky winky little plane, the kind that I Hate....Took off, and then circled Indy for 1 1/2 hours because we couldn't land in the storm...Oh, and did I mention the Plane was shaking & bumping so bad that the Flight attendants weren't allowed up! The Little Girl across from me passed out...as this was her very first flight, and the girl in front of me threw-up!! It was bad...then by the Grace of all that is Holy! Yes, I still pray to Arch Angel Michael & Gabriel in those potentially catastrophic situations...I still envision them holding up our planes like two kids playing with their toy airplanes... the Pilot came on and said,"We're here, but we don't have a gate and we can't deplane because of the Lightening!" and I'm going to be shutting down our engines to save fuel and this means no air conditioning...The Entire Plane said, "Oh No you won't!" AND THEN 27 MINUTES LATER I finally arrived in baggage claim to be greeted by my wide opened (Hard Shell, Delsey) suitcase with the United Rep standing there reassuring me that nothing had fallen out! Really??? I will still Fly!!! I Love Flying!! I will still Fly!!! I Love Flying!! and The Best Part is, I left my Camera at Home, next to it's batteries in the charger...Yay!

Your trip sounds dreamy...and full of memories. When T. was in the Military ...i remember many horrible flights like the one you described....I really hate flying now...because of it.
Glad your back. Cant wait to show you my first real stitch project

LOL - sorry Beth but when I got to the end about the camera part...had to laugh. You do know that some phones take better pics than cameras right? I learned that from an AT&T rep. Ask the Scribe...it's true.

Sorry I had to hang up yesterday darn it. We'll definitely have coffee soon.
