Have you ever heard of The Warrior Dash?

One month to the day after my 50th Birthday, I did something that was pretty outrageous! The "Pit Monsters", (The People who I work-out & train with at Indiana Pit)  http://www.indianapit.com/ formed a team of 18 and we competed in "The Warrior Dash"  2011 in Crawfordsville, Indiana.  http://www.warriordash.com/   This event benefits wounded Soldiers & Sailors who are returning home! Which most of you know as a Military Mom is Near & Dear to me. The Event is a 3.01 Mile Running Obstacle course, in a wooded, hilly, muddy, creek filled area that ends with you jumping over fire and running into a Huge Mud Mosh Pit! Oh and did I mention that there are heats/groups of 500 people starting every 30 minutes? You have a little tag on your shoe that keeps your time and even though you're running with all ages of people, you compete with your age group as well! I completed all of the obstacles except for the 20' high rope wall...I got 2/3 of the way up and like a dummy looked down! Yikes...I became nauseous and knew I had to get down...and I climbed another wall but my legs were too short to go up and over so I just slid down...Here's a Horrible picture of me right after the mud pit with pants waded up, underwear waded down, which makes me look like I have more rolls than I actually do! and I didn't know the picture was being taken yet, hence the wonderful expression on my red face! You got a Free Beer, T-Shirt & awesome Viking Hat for all your Sweat, Splinters, Scrapes and Broken baby toes! I gave my Beer ticket away as I had to drive home...We left our muddy shoes on a huge pile on our way out...They will be recycled! I promise I'll post more pics...

It really was awesome!
