Coming Home is Bittersweet...

Those of you who know me, know how much I LOVE being home... except that Cameron, Natashia & Jack live far away in California... I went out to visit Tasha & Jack... as Cameron is Deployed...Tasha & I have a great time together... Tasha picked me up from the Train Station, we dropped my bags at the house, snuggled with Jack (my Grand Dog) and 15 minutes later we were out the door, visiting The Country Loft Store, home of "The Wool Crazy & Crazy at Home Books", Cotton Quilt Fabric, Wool, Patterns, Antiques and much more "Primitive" eye candy... JoAnn Mullaly's(Co-owner  of the Shop) daughter Megan, recently passed after a long & hard battle with Cancer... If you've been following her blog you know the story... JoAnn showed me her Quilts for the next book... She worked on them as therapy she said... I told her how sorry I was and thanked her for sharing their family's story with us. She told me how her "Handwork" gives her some small comfort... We made our purchases and asked about some Shoppes nearby... JoAnn told Tash to come in and take a Class and she promised she would... We said Goodbye and Then we went to JoAnn Fabric's, bought a few things, stopped at the "Taco" Stand and headed back to the house... I went in their Backyard and listened to a saved voicemail Cameron left me, before he deployed... and as I came into the House, He called!!! Yay!!! I haven't spoken with him in months, not hearing a voice is harder than you think... I feel lucky to be able to e-mail him, but it's not the same... It was GREAT to talk to him... We ate our Taco's, got in the car and went shopping for trees & shrubs... came home, shared ideas and our "Pinterest" Favs... until we both crashed... Tasha had to work the next day, so Jack & I spent the day walking the neighborhood, playing tug & finally napping on the couch. We met Cindy, Aunt Linda & Ozzie for dinner and then we shopped... Again... The next morning we dug up giant boulders, and dug some more, planted edging made of cedar, planted trees, flowers & scrubs and designed another garden plot which will be finished this Saturday with the help of "Pedro" Her "Handyman of the Year"... I wanted to stay... but I couldn't... Cindy, Tasha's mom brought us Dinner and I taught her how to Crochet... She did awesome... I can't wait to see all the things she makes when I get there this summer... She left us at midnight and I went in to pack... Jack knew something was up and he tried to sleep with me...

So very sad cuz "Granny"s Leaving... Poor Baby...
